We
need many thousands of supporters to make Clean Campaigns (or
Voter-owned Campaigns) a reality in Washington State.
The public at large doesn't know that there is a remedy for our
political stalemates and maladies. Once people learn about public
financing of campaigns, they become passionate advocates—
and support spreads like wildfire.

The Petition
and Pledge signatures will demonstate the number of our supporters
statewide. The growing totals will be posted on the website.

Clean Campaigns or Clean Elections, you no longer have to explain
it.

GOALS:
~20,000 Clean Campaigns Petition signatures in 2008
~As many Clean Campaigns Pledges as possible (1500 people are
running for office statewide) Pledge
signers so far
These goals
are preparation for the 2008 legislative session and probable
initiative (ballot measure
proposed by citizens) in 2009-2010. We are seeking sway with the
legislature and sponsorship opportunities for continued advocacy.
We think
you'll be proud to say you're a volunteer for Washington Public
Campaigns. You're not a paid advocate. That says everything
about our cause. Volunteer

Why
not do an Initiative now?
Bringing a citizens' initiative to the ballot is very costly.
We don't yet have the broad-based support that we need — but
we WILL, and these tools will help us get there.

start the public conversation, fan the flames of grassroots
