IT'S TIME TO CHANGE THE RULES!

Corporations like BP and Exxon-Mobil are able to destroy our land, water and air with impunity. Ecology and people suffer in the never ending drive for profit. Corporate money is buying immunity and subsidies and our tax dollars are cleaning up the mess left behind.

The Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling is just the latest — and most blatant — example that corporations have hijacked our government.

See how it all ties together with marine toxicologist Riki Ott, who knows the inside story of the Gulf Coast oil spill — the wreckage it leaves in its wake. Even while BP makes huge profits, they still have the power say no to environmental and social cleanup.

Then, Riki Ott will join state legislators Adam Kline and Chris Reykdal and Craig Salins, Washington Public Campaigns, to discuss the reasons behind the ongoing problems, why corporate power is at the root of the problem, and what we, as citizens and voters, can do to change the way corporations control our government and our lives.

FEATURED SPEAKERS:

  • Dr. Riki Ott, marine biologist, environmental activist, author, founding member of Move to Amend.
  • Craig Salins, Executive Director, Washington Public Campaigns
  • State Senator Adam Kline (D-37th District)
  • State Rep. Chris Reykdal (D-22nd District)
